One guy, a workshop, and a CNC machine
I’ve been part of the kink community for a long time. And for just as long, I was frustrated by the same thing: the furniture was either cheap and flimsy, only available in sizes that don’t fit me, or with old fashioned looks.. Stocks that wobbled. Benches that creaked. Hardware that gave up after a year. For something meant to be trusted with someone’s safety and comfort, that always felt like a problem worth solving.
Then COVID hit. My regular job stopped, and suddenly there was time. A lot of it. So I started building — first for myself, then for some friends, then for people I didn’t know who had heard there was someone in the Netherlands making nice things.
BadCat Furniture grew from there. No investors, no factory, no shortcuts. Just a workshop, honest materials, one guy and the conviction that this community deserves better than what some of the market offers.
That was a few years ago. Since then, orders have shipped to more than 30 countries. Customers in the US, Canada, Australia, South America, Asia and across Europe — people who found us, trusted us with something personal, and came back. That still means the world to me.
Everything is still made by hand (and with help of a mighty CNC machine), still made to fit you specifically, and still built to last. That part won’t change, ever.
